Citizens will be able to consult their medical records free of charge anywhere in Europe, while healthcare professionals will benefit from improved access, enabling more effective monitoring.

Scheduled for 2029, the implementation of the EHDS is being prepared in Luxembourg, with a strong focus on data security and patient trust. Agence eSanté Luxembourg will play a key role in the implementation of the EHDS at the national level. Responsible for coordinating efforts related to the digitisation of the healthcare sector, it will oversee the implementation of the necessary technical infrastructure, while guaranteeing the security and confidentiality of citizens' healthcare data.
